A coworker in my department had her birthday right after we got out for the Christmas holidays. She had it at a pop up restaurant in Central called Statement.
It was in a gorgeous area. The building had been the police headquarters. There was a museum on the ground floor of the building.

It was a group of a bunch of teachers. We got together while socially distancing appropriately. I love the brunches in Hong Kong. The way they do it is you can get free flow drinks. I believe the choices were Prosecco, gin and tonic, and one other thing (pretty sure). I opted for the Prosecco.

The food was interesting. It was 5 courses, and you had the choice of a couple of things for each course.
It was an amazing way to start the holiday. It was definitely worth the money to experience it. From what I understand, the restaurant that was in there will be out of there next month. Another one will move in. I’m not particularly sure how that all works.
I am so grateful to have these people in my life. Having to stay in Hong Kong was a tough pill to swallow, and these types of things help with that. I hate that we were stuck here, but at least we were all stuck here together.
