We went for a hike on Dragon’s Back on Hong Kong Island with my friend’s dog.

Z is my coworker’s dog. She takes him hiking constantly. This dog has so much energy. He’s such a good dog.

This the third time I have done the Dragon’s Back hike. The other two times it had been with my friend who went back to Belgium. This time, it was with two ladies I work with and one of their husbands. It’s an incredible hike.
We started at the Tai Tam entrance of the trail.

I’m actually not sure where we came out. There were two ways we could have gone, near an MTR and towards a beach. We decided against the beach because we had been hiking for a long time.

I think the best part of the hike was my friend’s dog . He was so good. You could watch him run ahead. He would look over his shoulder like he wanted you to hurry up. It was a really windy day, especially when we got to the top of the mountain. It always amazes me that Hong Kong can be such an urban place, but it also has these amazing places where it’s all mountains, ocean, and sky.

When we reached the bottom, my friend K, her dog and I took a taxi home. That sweet pup and I had the best ride home. He cuddled right up to me and went to sleep.
