The pink and purple in my hair had faded. The last time I got my hair done was in April. I tried to get an appointment over the half term break, but the girl who did my hair before had taken the same time off. Her daughter attends the school I work in, so her holiday was the same. So I decided to do it myself. Well, with the help of the Monster.

I went looking all over Ma On Shan for hair dye. I know I would have found it somewhere else in Hong Kong, but I wasn’t interested in running all over the place to look for it. So I looked in the usual places around Ma On Shan and didn’t find what I was looking for.

To Amazon I went. I found this hair color. It’s advertised to be vegan. It doesn’t have all of those bad things in it. There were so many colors, but I settled on purple and pink because that was what I had before, and I wanted to avoid bleaching my hair.

Monster helped me separate the hair that had been dyed. I didn’t do the back of my head. I’m going to attempt that later. It was such a mess. There was dye all over me. Luckily, it didn’t get all over the bathroom.

It was an interesting process, and it was fun to do with the Monster.
