My company started school this week. Different schools started on different days. Bub’s school had a short day on Tuesday and started full time on Wednesday.

Bub Starting School

We had activities with both year 8 and 9. The kids had to dress their advisors as mummies and do a dance. I am an advisor, but I was helping another student with a well being issue at the time, so they dressed up one of the kids in our advisory. My students are the best. I love them to pieces.

Bub’s advisor wasn’t there either. He was in another meeting. So Bub was elected to be the mummy.

Monkey and Monster Starting School

The girls started on Thursday. Helper was supposed to be home on Tuesday, but because of the protests, she wouldn’t be home until Thursday night. Monkey had to take Monster to school with her.

Both got to school without incident. They seemed to really enjoy their day and week. Poor Monkey is going to be the shortest one in the family. Her 11 year old sister is close to being taller than her.

I can’t believe all of my kids are in secondary school now. It is a mind bend. I feel so old. Monkey is a year 13 (senior). She will be graduating this year. Monster is in year 7 (6th grade). Bub is in year 9 (8th grade) this year. It’s crazy.

I’m Back to School

I am happy to be back at work. I love my job. I love the people I work with. I am truly lucky to have such supportive people around me. I love my school. It is nice to have something else to focus on. I know I struggled over the summer because the kids were gone and I was not in work. I am one of those people who needs to work, I guess. It doesn’t help everything else that was going on. It did start to take a toll on my well-being.

I feel so much better now.
