Today has been relatively calm. No protests until tonight. We went to Ma On Shan today for a couple things. We were surprised to see a Lennon Wall there.

This was outside Mostown attached to Ma On Shan Station.

They had post-it notes, markers, and tape ready for you to add to the wall. There were families there with with children writing notes to Hong Kong.
This wall was massive. It went the length of the walkway and around the corner. There were many people adding to it without free or concern. There was even a guy using packing tape to secure the post-its to the glass.
Later that day, we went to Shatin for another IKEA run (yes, I have been spending a lot of time there lately. I think I’m just about done though).
These were outside Shatin Station. A protest had taken place there the night before.

New Towne Plaza was packed. Today, though, it was perfectly calm and back to normal.
Hong Kong is an amazing place. It is among the safest places in the world. I hope this place finds peace soon. For now, we are staying put. The kids return to Hong Kong tomorrow evening. I can’t wait for them to see all that we have done.
