Thanksgiving in Hong Kong

We had our first Thanksgiving away from home.  At school, it was three way conferences.  This means that the parent, student, and teacher all meet to discuss the student’s marks for the classes.  I ended up meeting with 4 of Monkey’s teachers during that time.

We thought about getting a turkey from the grocer in our compound, but I was under the impression I would be in school until late.  I ended up getting out a little earlier than I thought.  We took the kids to their favorite place to eat.  Pizza Hut.  Weird, right?  It’s not too bad here compared to the US shops.  In fact, I believe Hong Kong Pizza Hut has ruined US Pizza Hut for me (and everyone else).

We did get to talk to my family on video chat.  It’s not the same, but it is what it is.  I miss my family.  Love misses his family.  The kids miss everyone, but we are making due.  We are spending time together and enjoying where we are.
